SLOP Copyright & DMCA Policy

SLOP respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights. Users may upload only material they own or are legally authorized to use.

Automated duplicate protection

SLOP can use exact SHA-256 fingerprints and perceptual video/frame hashes to detect exact and near-identical re-uploads already registered on SLOP. Automated matching is a platform safeguard, not a legal determination of copyright ownership.

Copyright complaints

A copyright owner or authorized agent may send a written infringement notice to: joseph176588@gmail.com

A notice should identify the copyrighted work, identify the SLOP material claimed to infringe (including a URL/post ID where possible), provide contact information, include a good-faith statement, include a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the sender is authorized to act, and include a physical or electronic signature.

SLOP may remove or disable access to material after receiving a sufficiently complete infringement notice and may notify the affected user.

Counter-notices

A user who believes content was removed because of mistake or misidentification may submit a counter-notice identifying the removed material, explaining the basis for the dispute, providing the legally required statements/contact information, consenting to applicable court jurisdiction where required by 17 U.S.C. §512, and signing the counter-notice.

SLOP may restore content when legally appropriate after forwarding a valid counter-notice, unless the complaining party gives legally sufficient notice of court action within the applicable period.

Repeat infringers

SLOP maintains a policy to terminate or restrict repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Attempts to evade copyright enforcement through alternate accounts may be treated as repeat infringement.

False notices

Knowingly materially misrepresenting infringement or non-infringement can create legal consequences. Do not abuse the copyright complaint process.

DMCA designated agent

To seek the protections available to qualifying online service providers under 17 U.S.C. §512(c), the SLOP operator must separately register and maintain a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and publish current agent contact information. Software cannot complete that legal filing automatically. Until that external registration is completed and kept current, SLOP should not represent that DMCA safe-harbor eligibility is guaranteed.

DMCA designated-agent registration status

SLOP has not been configured in this deployment with a confirmed U.S. Copyright Office designated-agent registration. The operator should not represent this deployment as having completed that external registration until it has actually been filed and the matching public agent information is published here.
