SLOP Privacy Policy
Effective: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SLOP handles information when people use the SLOP website and mobile applications.
Information SLOP collects
- Account information such as display name, username, email address, profile text, account state, and verification status.
- User-generated content such as videos, captions, comments, rankings, follows, likes, shares, and reports.
- Security and fraud signals such as device installation identifiers, login/device history, rate-limit events, and keyed/hashed network identifiers used to detect bots, account farms, fake engagement, and abuse.
- Usage and engagement information such as watch sessions, verified views, rankings, interactions, and timestamps.
- Creator and payout-compliance status, including whether identity, tax, phone, and payout onboarding requirements are complete. Sensitive identity/tax data should be handled by certified payment/compliance providers rather than stored as ordinary SLOP profile data whenever possible.
- Advertising and revenue records needed to measure ad delivery and creator compensation.
- Technical information needed to provide, secure, debug, and operate the Service.
Why SLOP uses information
SLOP uses information to create and secure accounts; deliver the feed; host user videos; operate rankings, comments, follows, discovery and creator earnings; detect fraud and bots; moderate harmful content; respond to reports; prevent copyright re-uploads; process deletion/recovery; communicate security codes; measure advertising/revenue; comply with legal obligations; and improve reliability.
Service providers
SLOP currently uses infrastructure and service providers including Cloudflare for web/API infrastructure, Turso for application metadata, Backblaze B2 for video files, and Brevo for transactional security email. Payout, identity, tax, advertising, analytics, or other providers may be added or changed as SLOP launches. These providers receive information only as needed for their services and under their own applicable terms and privacy obligations.
Advertising
SLOP may use advertising providers. Advertising providers can process device, advertising, usage, or consent information subject to platform rules and applicable law. SLOP should provide any consent controls required for a user’s location before enabling personalized advertising.
Fraud and safety
SLOP uses anti-bot and safety systems to distinguish trusted from suspicious engagement. Fraud records can include keyed hashes of IP/device identifiers rather than raw network addresses in the fraud ledger. SLOP can preserve security evidence for a reasonable period to prevent repeat abuse and protect payouts.
Data retention and deletion
Users can initiate account deletion inside SLOP. During the current 30-day recovery window the account and public videos are hidden. After the recovery period, SLOP is designed to delete ordinary account/profile/video data and SLOP-managed video bytes, subject to technical completion and legally required retention. Limited payment, tax, withdrawal, security, fraud, dispute, and legal records may be retained, minimized, or anonymized where necessary.
User choices and rights
Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about personal data, and may have advertising/privacy choices. Requests can be sent to the contact address below. SLOP may need to verify the requester before acting on a privacy request.
Children
SLOP is intended for users age 13 and older and does not permit accounts for children under 13. If SLOP learns that it has collected personal information from a child under 13, it will take appropriate steps under applicable child-privacy law, which may include disabling the account and deleting information.
Security
SLOP uses access controls, authentication, private backend secrets, rate limits, anti-bot controls, and other safeguards. No internet service can promise perfect security, and users should protect their email account and password.
International use
Users may access SLOP from locations with privacy laws different from the place where SLOP operates. Additional notices, consent mechanisms, or contractual protections may be required before SLOP is intentionally launched in certain countries or regions.
Policy changes
SLOP may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, providers, and legal requirements change. Material changes may require renewed acceptance or additional notice.
